Baby security blanket (lovey) bear version

Hi here we go again with another pattern this project is also available in video tutorial here on youtube

for this project you will need 2 colors of yarn I used light bleu and white a little bit of black for eye, mouth and nose

5.5 mm hook for the blanket and 4mm  hook for the bear

fiberfill

yarn needle

scissors




let's start!!!!

CH 4 join with beginning chain with a slip stitch

Row 1: CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1 join in top CH 3 with slip stitch

Row 2: slip stitch in the CH 1 space, change color, CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, in same CH 1 space, CH 1 , 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, in same CH 1 space, CH1 join with slip stitch in top CH 3

Row 3: slip stitch in first CH 1 space, change color, CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1 2 DC, in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1 join in top CH 3

Row 4/ : change color corner are made with 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC for the remaining CH 1 space on the side just put 2 DC continue till you get a 10 inch square

edging: with white start by doing HDC all around in corner do 2 HDC joing with beginning

with blue SC, skip next stitch, 5 DC in same stitch, skip next stitch, SC, skip next stitch, continue around

weave in all ends now the blanket part is done lets start the bear part

head:

Row 1: MC 6 SC in it

Row 2: 2 SC in each stitch around

Row 3: SC, 2 SC in same stitch, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue  all around

Row 4: SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 5: SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 6: SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 7: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 8: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 9/14: SC all around

Row 15: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 16: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 17: SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 18: SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

you might want to start stuffing now

Row 19: SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 20: SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 21: DEC all around

weave in the end make sure the head is well closed

add eye, nose and mouth with black yarn

Ears (x2)

CH 3

Row 1: 5 DC in third CH from hook

Row 2: CH 2, DC in first stitch, 2 DC in the rest of each stitch

Row 3: CH 1, SC around cut yarn leave a tail long enough to join to the head weave in the other tail

Arms (x2)

Row 1:MC 6 SC in it

Row 2: 2 SC in each ST around

Row 3/8: SC around

cut yarn leave a tail long enough to join the arms the the head and to the blanket

join the arms and head to the middle of the blanket and your done!!!! you can also vary the animal buddy on top or change colors have fun

now switch to brown

now make sure every body part are joined

you can sew a nose and mouth and an eye or used felt to make them

cut a piece of felt to create the eye patch






with felt you can also make a belt and a little sword
