African flower octogon

African flower are one of my favorite thing to crochet we usually see it in pentagon form and I was ask if I can do a octagon so here we are

this one is made with 100% coton and I used a 5 mm hook

Start by doing a CH5

Row 1: Join with a slip stitch, CH 3, DC, CH 1, now repeat 2 DC, CH 1, 7 times so you have 8 set of 2 DC CH 1. Join on the top of the first CH 3

Row 2: slip stitch in the first CH 1 space, CH 3, 2 DC, CH 1, repeat 3 DC CH 1, 7 times join in the top of the first CH 3 cut yarn

change color

you join the new color in a CH 1 space

Row 3: CH 3, DC, CH 2, 2 DC, repeat 2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC in every CH 1 space join in top of first CH 3

Row 4: slip stitch in first CH 2, CH 3, 6 DC, slip stitch, 7 DC, slip stitch, continue all around join in top of CH 3 cut yarn

change color

Row 5: SC around on each petal and do a long SC in between petal

cut yarn

change color


Row 6: start on top of a petal do a SC, HDC, DC, DC, now you should be between a petal were's there is a long SC stitch do TR, CH 3, TR in the same stitch, DC, DC, HDC, SC

continue like this all around

join with the first SC you can stop there or ad other rows

if you wish to ad other row HDC or DC all around for the corner do 2 HDC CH 2 2 HDC or 2 DC CH 2 2 DC

and we're done!!!!!

Baby security blanket (lovey) bear version

Hi here we go again with another pattern this project is also available in video tutorial here on youtube

for this project you will need 2 colors of yarn I used light bleu and white a little bit of black for eye, mouth and nose

5.5 mm hook for the blanket and 4mm  hook for the bear

fiberfill

yarn needle

scissors

let's start!!!!

CH 4 join with beginning chain with a slip stitch

Row 1: CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1 join in top CH 3 with slip stitch

Row 2: slip stitch in the CH 1 space, change color, CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, in same CH 1 space, CH 1 , 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC, in same CH 1 space, CH1 join with slip stitch in top CH 3

Row 3: slip stitch in first CH 1 space, change color, CH 3, DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1 2 DC, in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1, 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC in same space, CH 1, 2 DC in CH 1 space, CH 1 join in top CH 3

Row 4/ : change color corner are made with 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC for the remaining CH 1 space on the side just put 2 DC continue till you get a 10 inch square

edging: with white start by doing HDC all around in corner do 2 HDC joing with beginning

with blue SC, skip next stitch, 5 DC in same stitch, skip next stitch, SC, skip next stitch, continue around

weave in all ends now the blanket part is done lets start the bear part

head:

Row 1: MC 6 SC in it

Row 2: 2 SC in each stitch around

Row 3: SC, 2 SC in same stitch, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue  all around

Row 4: SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 5: SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 6: SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 7: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 8: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, 2 SC in same stitch, continue all around

Row 9/14: SC all around

Row 15: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 16: SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 17: SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 18: SC, SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

you might want to start stuffing now

Row 19: SC, SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 20: SC, DEC, continue all around

Row 21: DEC all around

weave in the end make sure the head is well closed

add eye, nose and mouth with black yarn

Ears (x2)

CH 3

Row 1: 5 DC in third CH from hook

Row 2: CH 2, DC in first stitch, 2 DC in the rest of each stitch

Row 3: CH 1, SC around cut yarn leave a tail long enough to join to the head weave in the other tail

Arms (x2)

Row 1:MC 6 SC in it

Row 2: 2 SC in each ST around

Row 3/8: SC around

cut yarn leave a tail long enough to join the arms the the head and to the blanket

join the arms and head to the middle of the blanket and your done!!!! you can also vary the animal buddy on top or change colors have fun

Lacy lace infinity scarf

Hi everybody for this pattern we will be making a scarf not that supper warm type of scarf but that pretty looking more of an accessories type of scarf I will also but a link for a video tutorial if you need help with the stitchs pattern

This is my 6 years old posing :p

so first you will need yarn of your choice and a hook that works for your yarn

then start by doing a  chain 180

join the last chain with the first by doing a slip stitch make sure you DON'T twist the chain I made the mistake -_-

Row 1: CH 1, SC in same ST * CH 3, skip 2 ST, SC * repeat * all around

Row 2: CH 3, * 3 DC in CH 3 space, CH 3, SC in CH 3 space * repeat * all around

Row 3: CH 1, SC in same ST, CH 3, SC, CH 3, SC, CH 3, SC .... all around

Row 4-12: alternate row 2 and 3

Row 13: SC all around

20 Things About Me You Probably Didn’t Know

earlier this week I was looking I was looking on my facebook newsfeed and the lovely Chandi from
expression fiber arts post a 20 things about me you probably didn't know and I tough I was a great idea to share some fun facts with you!

1. I'm a dreamer: I am really my mind go away really easily day dreaming

2. Coffee addiction: ok that's an easy one but you have no idea its not like I need to drink ALOT of it but I need it to start my day I get headache if I don't drink any

3. Happy taught: I believe that to be happy you have to be positive you cant be happy in seeing all negative around you

4. shy?: I'm a shy person that's why I wont start a conversation I'm not anti-social I'm just very VERY shy

5. Bathroom product: this is something I try to control myself I can't just have one body wash or on shampoo I need to have different same thing for face product I currently have 3 different face wash

6. sensitive: I'm a sensitive person especially if someone is sad or cry it will get me I can watch cartoon and if the scene is sad I might cry or I'll have to go away cause I know it will make me cry

7. overly cute thing: I just can't resist I'll admit I'm a child at heart just for an example  my cell phone wallpaper and msg alarm is Pikachu

8. I don't have a favorite color: I love purple yeah but I cant say that I can commit to only one favorite color I depend on my mood or the season....

9. Spiders: I hate... killing them I always bad after killing one

10. Hair: my hair care routine is wash and brush... I really suck at doing my hair I don't even blow dry them I just let them dry by their self

11. life: I believe that everything that happened in my life was meant to be everything I go through is for a reason

12. Farm: I always dreamed to have my own farm

13. Lake: I don't feel safe swimming in a lake especially if I don't see the bottom I so scared that something will grab me

14. weird dreams: my dreams I always weird sometimes its scared me that my brain can imagine that

15. Animals: I'm more comfortable with animals than with humans animals don't judge you

16. Summer: I don't really like summer I hate being sweaty from just walking I hate heat weave i get grumpy when its too hot

17. Reese's: is my favorite candy bar I'm in love with PB and chocolate

18. Mascot: I'm scared of them not knowing who's inside the costume....

19. In bed...: I can't sleep if my feet are uncover no matter how hot it can get my feet need to be cover

20. wine/beer: I like beer more than wine

Hot air balloon festival

Hey friend

Saturday we went to an annual festival held in the city we live kids
 love it mainly for these

they spent most of the day in these structure running around having fun

but at a certain point of the day we had to stop them for lunch

then hubby wanted to try a "driving simulator" or something like that I was happy to get comfy couch
while we waited for him

then we went to do a bunch of activity we try an ooowy goooowy stuff kids love it
and its quite simple to do at home just mixt  equal part of corn starch and water and it will make a weird paste you can add food coloring if you wish

after we let the kids play a bit more

so after that it was time for the hot air balloon

this is the balloon some are from the U.S some from France and Europe even from Brazil

We're waiting and getting a little refreshment

and then THE moment arrive
